Artificial Intelligence at Eden Prairie Schools

You have likely seen advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) tools like chatGPT, Google Bard, and Bing AI over the past few months. Because these tools were built to be interactive and generative (designed to generate content in the form of text, images, or other media), they will have implications in all areas of the school setting–some of which are exciting, some that are confusing, and some that might be intimidating. In Eden Prairie Schools, we’re taking intentional steps to help our students be positioned well for the future. One critical question we hope to answer through this work is "What should students know and be able to do in this area?" In order to answer this question we are launching a new “Eagle Voice” initiative where all students, staff, and community members can submit responses to the question,

“What is one way that artificial intelligence should be incorporated into the student experience?"

This can be AI-related knowledge or skills that you think students should know, an AI-related opportunity that should be explored, or a way that AI could enhance learning at Eden Prairie Schools. You can submit and view responses on this website now through the end of July. Your responses will inform our approach to answering the critical guiding question above. This approach reflects two of our core values here in EP of (1) Each person has individual gifts, interests and talents, and (2) Community benefits when each person contributes.

We are excited to see your ideas and are confident we will all benefit from the wisdom of the crowd!
